Meze means an "appetizing snack" or "appetizer." Although the epicenter of meze culture is the eastern region of the Mediterranean, it is also customary to eat in small portions, shared with each other, and snacking further north, on the Balkan Peninsula. Today, we will prepare Balkan classics that are both delicious individually and together, such as sopszka salad, gibanica made from slaw, traditional čevap in fresh pie and ajvar, as well as baked beans in a real Serbian earthenware pot.

  • Shopska salad / Green salad, feta cheese
  • Pasulj / Bean stew with smoked pork neck and vegetables
  • Cevapcici / Grilled serbian sausage
  • Ajvar / Balkan style vegetable pepper relish
